Accessibility
This website supports keyboard navigation, screen readers and mobile devices. Its information is also available with JavaScript switched off.
Accessibility features
- Every colour pairing meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, checked automatically on each build
- The site works without JavaScript. The eligibility checker needs it because it runs in your browser; when JavaScript is off, its content is listed in plain form
- Text can be enlarged without disrupting the layout and is presented as text rather than images
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- Headings follow a logical order to support navigation
- Non-Latin pages use the system font stack, keeping load times fast on mobile
- Animation is reduced when your device has the reduced-motion setting enabled
Known limitations
- The site has been tested internally but has not had an independent accessibility audit
- Government PDF documents linked from our guides are outside our control and may have accessibility limitations
If something does not work
